Reactive self-assembling nanofilms for displays and photonics

Nanofilm has developed ultra-thin self-assembling films that act as a protective layer for displays, such as computer displays, cell phone windows, ATMs and PDAs. It can also be used to protect photonics devices, such as lasers.

These invisible, ultra-thin films are less than 10 nanometers thick and are applied over anti-reflective coatings. These coatings can be applied in a variety of ways, including spin-coating, vapor deposition and hand application. Nanofilm has developed a proprietary hand-applicator for these products.

Nanofilm’s display coatings can provide the following characteristics:

• Soil resistant
• Contaminant resistant
• Contaminant releasing
• Non-stick
• Non-staining

Nanofilm also formulates new nanocoatings for manufactures and can reformulate a company’s existing coatings to meet custom specifications.
