Perfecting your view
Nanofilm's first application of nanotechnology to consumer products was in the optical field. In the early 1980s, when eyeglass and sunglass lenses were beginning to use advanced polymers, Nanofilm began making coatings to protect those surfaces from scratches, contaminants, water and wear. Eventually those coatings became a preferred choice for optical lenses for binoculars and telescopes.
Because of our knowledge of the coatings, optics professionals asked us to create care and performance products to enhance them. Our nanotechnology specialists went to work, and now these products help millions of people perfect their view.
